How many children will be helped by the program?
The final number is still to be determined based on the number of schools that will be supported. However, by partnering with the Kids In Need Foundation, the $40,000 donation will be used to procure a year's worth of supplies for 4,000 children.
How are the schools/students being selected?
Kemps is relying on the Kids In Need Foundation to assist in identifying the schools since that is the organization's area of expertise.
How many schools will receive supplies?
Kemps is working with the Kids In Need Foundation to determine how the donation can impact the most children. It is still to be determined how many schools will be the recipient of the donation.
What supplies will be provided?
School supplies will be based on needs for each school (sample supplies include notebooks, pencils and pens, crayons, glue, etc.)
Will schools be provided money or supplies?
The schools will be provided with supplies that will be given to students.
What is the Kids In Need Foundation?
The Kids In Need Foundation is a national 501(c) (3) charitable organization with offices in Dayton, Ohio, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1995, the Foundation's mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need.
So it is really Kemps’ customers making the donation?
Kemps has made a business decision to not recognize the $40,000 in revenue from its milk sales and instead is committing it to the program and Kids In Need Foundation. The program is a combined effort between Kemps and its customers.
How much money from each Kemps Select Milk Gallon is going to the fund?
Kemps is basing the donation on a $40,000 committed contribution so the per gallon commitment varies on how much product is sold between August 1 and September 30.
How is the donation being distributed in each state?
It is estimated that roughly 70 percent of the donation will be given in Minnesota ($28,000) and 30 percent in Wisconsin ($12,000).
How is the donation being divided between Minnesota and Wisconsin?
Kemps is splitting the donation based on the average milk sales in each state.
What is the total donation amount?
Kemps is committing $40,000 to the Kids In Need Foundation.
How does it work?
From August 1 to September 30, Kemps will commit a portion of the sales from every Kemps Select Milk Gallon sold to the program, up to $40,000.
