Program Rules

1. Eligibility
Enrollment in Kemps Nickels for Schools is open to any accredited public, private, or parochial school for grades K-12 in the United States that has a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt designation and that have 15 or more students.

2. Enrollment
Each school is limited to one enrollment. Your school does not need to enroll each year.

3. About Nickels For Schools
The Kemps Nickels for Schools program allows you to collect specially marked milk caps and Nickels for Schools POP symbols from Kemps dairy products and redeem them for cash. Your school will receive 5¢ for each milk cap or POP submitted through the official redemption process (see redemption guidelines).

4. Maximum Fundraising Amount
Each participating school may earn up to, but not more than, $10,000 cash per year (September 1 - August 31) from the Kemps Nickels for Schools program.

5. Payments
Checks will be made payable only to enrolled, accredited public, private, parochial, or home schools as outlined in the above Eligibility section. Checks may be made payable to a PTA if previously specified on accepted enrollment documents; however, please note that payments made to schools are not tax-deductible by schools, participants, or purchasers.

6. School Coordinators
Each school's Nickels for Schools coordinator will serve as the liaison between the school and Kemps, the Kemps Nickels for Schools administrator or its designee. Therefore, it's necessary that each participating school designate a school coordinator in order to be enrolled in Nickels for Schools.

7. Qualifying Entries
Only milk caps with the official Kemps Nickels for schools sticker qualify for redemption. You may also redeem official Kemps Nickels for Schools proof-of-purchase symbols located on Kemps paper half-gallons of milk, cottage cheese and sour cream.

8. Redemption and Program Deadline
To redeem qualifying milk caps and POP symbols for cash, complete a Kemps Nickels for Schools redemption form and enclose it with each shipment. If your school wants to receive their Nickels For Schools check before school closes for the summer, shipments must be postmarked by the second Friday in April each year.  Checks are not mailed over the summer.  Schools may ship caps and POPS year-round.  For shipments postmarked later than the second Friday in April each year, check processing will resume in the first week of September. All submissions are subject to verification. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the verification process.

9. Unacceptable Submissions
Only Kemps Nickels for Schools specially marked milk caps and POP symbols will be accepted for redemption. Any milk caps or POP symbols that have been defaced, mutilated, forged, or in any way altered will not be accepted. Any milk caps without the official Nickels for Schools sticker will not be accepted. Only the official Kemps Nickels for Schools symbols will be accepted - UPC bar codes are not an acceptable form of proof of purchase. Kemps is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages of milk caps.

10. Shipping Charges
All postage and shipping charges incurred when redeeming milk caps and POP symbols are the responsibility of the sender.

11. Program Changes
Kemps LLC reserves the right to cancel or alter the terms of the Kemps Nickels For Schools program at any time. Please check back for the most current program rules and news.

12. What will I receive upon enrollment
Newly enrolled schools will receive a new enrollment information package which will include a letter with ID #, Poster, Information Sheet and Official Rules.
