Sour Cream Marinated and Southern Fried Chicken




  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Pound chicken thin.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, milk and garlic powder.
  4. Place the chicken in the bowl, and cover. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. In a medium mixing bowl, combine bread crumbs, parsley, and crushed potato chips.
  6. Remove chicken from sour cream marinade and press firmly into the breading mixture, completely coating the chicken. Repeat this for each piece.
  7. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over a medium heat until hot.
  8. Carefully place chicken into the oil and cook on each side until golden brown.Remove from oil and place on a paper towel.
  9. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  10. Finish cooking the chicken by placing it on a baking sheet in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 F.
