Kemps salutes local family farmers.
Members of the farmer-owned cooperative that owns Kemps, Mark and his twin brother, Mike, are partners in Spadgenske Dairy, a first-generation farm begun in 1994. They grow their own forages — 800 acres of hay and 200 acres of corn — for their 250 cows. Both brothers are very involved in the dairy industry and represent farmers on several boards. “The health and well-being of our cows is top priority on our farm. They take care of us, so it is very important for us to take care of them,” Mark emphasizes. “And even at a young age, our children have pride in what we do every day, which ensures our consumers can enjoy fresh, wholesome dairy products.”
